GOSSIP AS A TOOL is a publication that explores the social mechanics and cultural significance of gossip within queer zine communities. It investigates how gossip operates not merely as idle talk, but as a vital tool for connection, resistance, and survival among marginalised groups who often exist outside mainstream networks of representation and communication.

The essay focuses on two zines from the 1990s and examines their understanding and use of »gossip« as a means of sharing information, providing care, and cultivating intimacy. By situating these publications within a broader framework of gossip theory, the work traces how these informal networks of communication functioned as both social infrastructure and cultural resistance within queer communities.
